UP STF will again interrogate Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president and Muslim religious leader Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani in the case of giving Halal certificate illegally. Maulana Madani has been summoned to the STF headquarters in the capital after Eid. Let us tell you that STF had interrogated Maulana Madani for two days in February also.
According to sources, after interrogating Maulana Madani along with four other officials associated with Halal Certificate Trust, STF has got many important clues. Investigation has revealed that the income earned from distributing Halal certificates was diverted to many companies. Many of which are suspected to be shell companies. For this reason STF has called Maulana Madani for questioning. Actually, Maulana Madani is also the chairman of the trust associated with Halal institutions.
Four officials were arrested
After the disclosure of this matter, Halal India Pvt. of Chennai, the institutions giving Halal certificate in Hazratganj Kotwali. Ltd., Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind of Delhi, Halal Council of India of Mumbai and Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra. After this, four of their officials Maulana Mudassir, Habib Yusuf Patel, Anwar Khan and Mohammad Tahir were arrested.
